Man and van Teddington Storage

Long term storage (4 months minimum) is available at our warehouse in Teddington. We use wooden storage crates as indicated by the pictures to provide safe and clean storage. Client can provide their own locks to the units.
This secure facility is within easy reach of the M25 with ample loading and offloading space. There are forklifts and pump trucks available for bigger items. Units may be accessed Monday to Friday between 09h00 and 17h00. Please note that there is no weekend access

Insurance By Man And Van Teddington In UK

Insurance:
Our vehicles are fully insured for the purpose of moving or delivering. We have a maximum £25 000 goods in transit cover and have public liability insurance. Jacobs and Co will not accept any responsibility for damage to goods, furniture, vehicles, property or other under £250.Claims bigger than £250 will be dealt with by our insurance company. Any person wishing to claim for damages should notify Jacobs and Co of their intention within 7 days of the move, in writing. All goods with a value of more than £250 have to be listed on an inventory with their estimated value PRIOR to commencement of the move.
 Items not listed on the inventory will not be covered.

Other exclusions are: 
1) Loss or damage to food & drink, furs, jewellery, watches, precious metals and precious stones, Deeds, Bonds, Bills of Exchange, Promissory Notes,
2) Money or Securities for money stamps of all kinds, Manuscripts and other documents 
3)  Loss or damage caused by or arising from wear, tear, gradual deterioration, mildew, moth, vermin, or any process of cleaning, repairing or restoring. 
4) Loss of or damage to self assembly furniture unless dismantled prior to the day of removal. 
5) Mechanical or Electrical derangement unless caused by external means. 
6) Breakage of owner-packed goods unless caused by a major accident to the means of conveyance 
7) Loss or damage occurring in premises where the goods are stored or warehoused. 

In the event of loss or damage to any article forming a pair or set, the cover is limited to the proportionate value that that article bears to the total value of the pair or set and no additional

Vehicle:1.Make your booking at least one week in advance.
2.Always supply as much information about the move as possible.
3. If you are unsure if all your furniture will fit in the vehicle, ask for a bigger van.It will work out cheaper rather than making a second journey.

Boxes:1.Make sure all boxes are are taped up at the bottom and can take the weight.
2.Do not make the boxes to heavy (Approx max 20kg), or you will require a 2 man lift. (Health and safety)
3.Try to complete your packing before the crew arrive , especially if you pay per hour.
4.Try to limit the number of boxes or bags you have by using bigger boxes.This will greatly reduce your loading od affloading time and save you money, especially if there are stairs involved.

Loading:1. The crew will always load square,stackable, same size boxes first and then soft or odd shape items.To make to move quicker , ensure that these type of boxes are available first.
Doorway:1.Alway ensure that there is a clear passage for the crew to come in and out of the house.This again will save time.
